How Food Serving Sizes Impact Your Ability To Reduce Tummy Fat

If you are trying to reduce tummy size then portion or serving sizes are super important. But how much is a portion size I hear you saying.  And how does that compare to what I am currently eating (and enjoying)?  Good question. Check out the quick vid below that gives you an idea of what your serving sizes should look like. You might be surprised at what you find out!

Struggling to stay focused on the video?  Sometimes it is easier just to read about things right?  Especially when the boss is milling around and might be listening in when you should be working.  Here is a brief outline of what the serving sizes of some popular food choices really look like.

One serving of Doritos is equal to 11 chips.  Sorry – you are not supposed to chow down on the entire packet.
Arizona Ice Tea has two and a half servings per container.  Save some for later.
A single pizza from Di Giorno.  How much do you think you are allowed?  Only half of the pizza sorry.
Lucky charms cereal.  Stick to 3/4 of a cup if you must eat them.
Peanut butter.  I love smothering this all over my sandwiches.  Unfortunately i should only be using two tablespoons in one sitting.
Candy bars.  Again, not sure you should be indulging on these too much anyway if you are trying to lose weight and stay in shape.  But if you must, half a bar is equivalent to one serving.
Three Oreos and you are done with the packet for today.  Pop it back in the cupboard.
Time for  frozen lasagne dinner.  The good news is that one container should do you for two and a half meals.
And finally guacamole. What a wonderful dip.  Just make sure you don’t indulge in more than two tablespoons at once if you really want to reduce tummy fat.
